About ATI

ATI was first established in 1939 through the merger of Allegheny Steel and Ludlum Steel, creating Allegheny Ludlum Corporation. Through the years leading up to the 1970’s, ATI worked with companies such as Ford to outfit various cars with stainless steel bodies. Over the following decades and into the early 2000’s, the company also began to acquire and sell various companies. In 1987, ATI went public with an initial offering, as well as converted various subsidiaries into independent public companies.
